Aspire Programme
St Eunan’s National School is proud to be involved in the Aspire programme in partnership with Robertson National School Ballintra. Together, both schools engage in joint activities, workshops, and visits that strengthen friendships, celebrate diversity, foster teamwork, and create meaningful connections between pupils and staff.

The PEACEPLUS ASPIRE Programme is a cross-community initiative that supports schools in building positive relationships, promoting inclusion, and developing mutual understanding among young people. Through shared learning experiences and collaborative projects, the programme encourages respect for diversity and helps pupils explore different traditions and perspectives.

This year our schools placed a strong emphasis on Science and Maths during Engineers Week Ireland, where pupils explored coding and problem-solving using Bee-Bots and LEGO SPIKE kits. These activities encouraged teamwork, critical thinking, and creativity in a fun and interactive way.

We also had a fun day at the circus! There was so much to see and enjoy—acrobats, fire eaters, clowns, gymnasts, and circus performers who brought so much fun, energy, and excitement to all the boys and girls.

The programme also celebrated a love of reading through World Book Day, with exciting reading initiatives designed to inspire and engage all pupils.
In addition, a fun-filled beach day provided opportunities for cooperative games and outdoor learning, helping to build friendships and strengthen connections between both schools.
Through these shared experiences, pupils have developed new skills, formed lasting friendships, and gained a deeper appreciation for working together.
